The new website of the Department of Design at HAW Hamburg combines clear structure with creative freedom. It serves as a central hub for over 40 study programs, projects, and research areas – while also acting as a showcase for the department’s creative diversity.

What does a website look like that not only informs but also inspires? The challenge was to create a platform that enables both targeted searching and intuitive exploration.

In an interdisciplinary team, the website was completely reimagined. The interface design, navigation structure, and interactions were iteratively developed, tested, and refined. The result is a platform that provides orientation while inviting exploration.
